Very much so. However, as you know MLB has no salary cap so any owner could spend a crap load of money and bring in great players if they wanted to. The NBA, not so much, they are smart and have a cap. To be fair, Sterling as stupid as he is did take that team and cashed in for $2billion dollars regardless.

That being said, no I am not serious.

The NBA's salary cap is so used and abused it's not funny. It's not a hard cap like the NHL or NFL is...besides with him being declared mentally incompetent today even an idiot like Selig wouldn't approve him.

Sure is, but at least they have to pay a heavy luxury tax for it. A hard cap is the better option for sure.

Nobody would ever let him own an American franchise again, it would be career suicide for any commissioner to do so.

That's "cracka," thank you very much. But to be honest, I like most of what Steven A has to say about societal issues. Probably I don't like what he has to say nearly as much as he likes what he has to say, but whatever. :lol:

I wish other respected black leaders would repeat the essence of what Steven A said in the piece linked by DC62. Because when we crackas say it, it has no credibility. But young black men need to hear it, and they need to put it into practice for their own good.

(They also need to marry their babymamas -- and stay married to them -- but that's a topic for another day.)

The weird companion of embattled Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling called blacks “crazy” in a video she made for a reality-show pilot about — wait for it — gold diggers.

“I don’t understand black people. The minute you give them a little bit of money, they don’t know what to do with it,” V. Stiviano tells the camera in the short clip.

They “just act crazy. They want to put extra rims. They’re like, ‘Yo, I wanna put extra rims on top of my rims. And my rims are gonna turn around. I’m gonna call them, what? Spinners,’ ” she rambles.

“They do stupid s–t like that when there’s people starving all over the world.”

In another part of the video first reported by TMZ, Stiviano — who is half Mexican and half black — holds an Elmo doll, looks at it and says, “We don’t like black people.”

Stiviano shot to infamy last month when a recording of Sterling telling her not to associate with blacks became public.

Sterling has now filed a $1 billion lawsuit after being banned by the NBA and forced to sell the Clippers.

I think what is being proved here is that women want an alpha male and will overlook many undesirable qualities in order to be with one. Sterling is about as alpha as it gets. Through all this heat he's keeping his cool, fighting back and in the end he'll be getting the last laugh I suspect. He'll still have his money and his bitches. Just yesterday he was praying forgiveness in a black church flanked by two young black women. I don't know if people caught on to this but this was the ultimate middle finger to his detractors. We an sit here and judge him, call him a racist and an adulterer, which he along with being a horrible person but at the end of the day he still has had a pretty good life and will continue to do so.
Joke's on us.
