Beck and McCown look good and are picking up the offense quickly. Beck is starting to have a problem with taking sacks though and McCown has had fumblitis. I refuse to mention that other guy.
I think you're gonna have to learn to. As much as I hated him at scUM, their struggles over the past couple years can't be put on him. He typically performed pretty well and usually played well when it mattered most (last November not withstanding). You definately have to allow that he was tough as nails and a competitor. Plus he throws a good deep ball which is perfect for a WR like Teddy Ginn. I've said all along I think Henne will be a pretty good pro QB. He's a Parcells pick and I'll be shocked if he's not their starter come September.

Prepare to be shocked.
Eh, it's awfully early right now. But, if he performs well in training camp and in the preseason, I really think they'll go with him over Beck or McCown. He's not your typical green rookie. He was a four year starter in the Big-10 with a lot of big game experience. Plus like I mentioned before, you can't underestimate the Parcells factor.

He's getting very few reps in practice from what I've read. The Dolphins are making it awfully clear that they plan on making this a two-horse race at QB and Henne, at least as of now, isn't in it. I could see him maybe getting a start in November if the Dolphins are tanking but I don't see September happening.

I've read/heard the opposite, though admittedly, I don't follow the Dolphins or Lloyd Christmas all that closely.

Henne in mix for Fins starting job

For those assuming the Dolphins' quarterback competition was a two-man duel between John Beck and veteran Josh McCown, think again, coach Tony Sparano says. Sparano made it clear rookie quarterback Chad Henne is in the mix for the starting job after watching him take snaps with the first team in the first of Saturday's two practices. Beck and McCown had previously split the first-team snaps because of their experience edge and knowledge of the newly installed offense.

NFL.com said McCown and Beck got most of the reps while Henne mostly watched. So...hard to figure out what's really going on. If Henne does get an equal amount of reps as the other two, I still think it's unlikely he starts a game that early in the season but his chances certainly become more realistic.

Well they finally pulled the trigger with the Redskins. I figured it would've happened during or right before the draft but they couldnt get it done. Today, however, Jason Taylor is a Redskin. Sad day in Dolphins history. Already this season we lose Zach Thomas to Dallas and now Jason Taylor to the Redskins. Two cornerstones of the Miami Dolphins have been let loose. Sad sad day. We kind of new it was coming though. He'll give the Redskins two years at most and the Dolphins get two future draft picks. I'm guessing those picks are considered by how long Taylor plays and if he's a Pro Bowler or not.

Looks like a 2nd rounder in '09 and a 6th in '10. We could've used them this season. There will be a ton of Buckeyes getting drafted next year though so I'll cross my fingers!

Considering the contributions those two have made over the past decade, slim chance the picks will get near that. A 2nd and 6th for the DMVP the year before last is all we could muster? That sucks like no other.
