The minute I walk in the door, shoes off (leave socks on). straight to my room to empty my pockets, take off any watch/jewelry, strip off my dress clothes, and then it's either sweats or shorts with a T on for the rest of the night unless I have to go somewhere that requires "normal" clothes.

If it's really cold, i'll throw my house slippers on and a hoodie.

A lot of this depends on two things:

1: if you have all hardwood floors (I have never in 13 years seen carpet in the Northeast).

2: if you have pets.

I suppose this has more to do with going barefoot then wearing shoes though. . .

This is exactly the same thing I do. Nothing more annoying to me then wearing dress clothes when I am at home.
