DL Willie Mobley (transfer to Orange Coast, Arizona and NMSU)

That was Gophers football coach Tim Brewster and Eden Prairie defensive end Willie Mobley, the top uncommitted prospect in Minnesota, exchanging hugs on the Metrodome sideline before Saturday's Gophers-Wisconsin game. Mobley said he had a good visit at Ohio State two weekends ago.

Minnesota? "It's my home," he said with a smile. "I like Minnesota."

Where do people think Mobley will end up?

I am thinking he starts at DE but could end up playing a bit of both later in his career similar to David Patterson.

On a somewhat related note, does it seem like OSU seems to start some of their future DTs at DE to get them to focus on quickness? It's happened with guys like Worthington, Patterson and others. I am pretty sure we do something similar with our safeties as Coleman and Whitner started at CB to work on coverage and then moved to safety and I expect that Clifford will make the same move next year.
I dont think its to work on their quickness at DT, I think it has to do with their weight. We usually don't have to many guys that can walk in at close to 300lbs at DT. At CB, I think Coleman was moved due to need. Were really thin at "quality" safety.

I'll say I'm not all that excited about Mobley. He seems to be a DT in a DE's body. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong.
