Disgraced Former Penn State DC Jerry Sandusky (convicted child molester)

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Xy0L8MUsOE&feature=related"]Penn State Sex Scandal Jerry Sandusky Full Interview with Bob Costas - YouTube[/ame]

I don't think the interview has been posted, so here it is. Sandusky sounds like a fucking retard the way he answers these questions.

What? Was PSU is supposed to let some girls be molested, too?

One of the relevant passages...

Despite the fact that the Penn State scandal involves the most egregious pattern of criminal sexual abuse of boys by a male child molester, gender dynamics may still be at play. The hyper-masculine, hyper-straight culture of football was the perfect environment for Sandusky to get away with molesting boys for so long. Few would suspect a revered assistant football coach of molesting boys, nor would they suspect that any lifelong player and coach would be involved in sexual activity with other males, due to the widespread homophobia in college football. Even despite eyewitness accounts from those with no reason to lie, Sandusky?s actions were seemingly beyond belief to all those under the spell of Penn State?s mythical program.

Football is clothed in a privilege within the university that is deeply gendered. Steeped in tradition, exuding masculinity, and rolling in money, Division I football is impervious to the normal rules of a university. In no other department of a university is it conceivable that eyewitness accounts of child sexual rape would go unreported to the police when the perpetrator has been caught red-handed (more than once!) committing the crime on campus.

The last bit I bolded is the type of agenda driven speculation that really gets under my skin. It is flat out nothing more than the prejudice of the two authors of the article coming through completely unfiltered and when placed in context with what is claimed to be Penn State's reactions in regards to the John T. Neisworth allegations it is especially outlandish.

In an unsurprising turn of events, Second Mile is folding

ESPiN

The Second Mile, a Pennsylvania-based youth charity at the center of the child sex-abuse charges against former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky, has begun taking steps to dissolve itself, the organization's chief executive told The New York Times on Friday.

David Woodle said in an interview with the newspaper that the foundation is seeking to transfer its charitable programs to other nonprofit organizations with hopes they can continue Second Mile's work with disadvantaged youth.

So, if we were more accepting of homosexuals, the sexual abuse of boys would be reported? :roll1:

Penn St. cops report 2000 pool assault

Penn State University police say they've referred another previous incident of indecent assault to the Attorney General's Office.

The Centre Daily Times reports Sunday that chief Tyrone Parham says the assault "by a known individual" took place in an outdoor swimming pool building sometime between June 1, 2000 and Aug. 30, 2000.

n other developments, the Patriot-News of Harrisburg reports that the first alleged abuse victim of Sandusky has withdrawn from his Clinton County, Pa. high school because of bullying.

The victim's psychologist, Mike Gillum, told the paper that Central Mountain High School students were misplacing their anger at Joe Paterno's firing and blaming the 17-year-old, who left the school in the middle of his senior year after experiencing a rash of verbal taunting and name-calling.

Penn St. hires Louis Freeh to investigate

Former FBI director Louis Freeh, tapped to lead Penn State's investigation into the child sexual-abuse allegations against a former assistant football coach, said his inquiry will go as far back as 1975, a much longer period than a grand jury report issued earlier this month.
Freeh was named Monday to oversee the university board of trustees' internal investigation into the abuse allegations that ultimately led to the ouster of longtime football coach Joe Paterno and university president Graham Spanier.
Freeh said his goal was to conduct a comprehensive, fair and quick review.
