Diet-Fitness-General Wellness Your Thoughts?

Just got $48.21 back for my $25 dietbet. I was grandfathered in at 15%. Won the $50 dietbet today so I should know what I get in a few days. The first time around the payout on the $50 bet was less than the $25 bet, which is why I'm going to limit myself to $35 bets when I pick back up after July 4th.

Going to work hard on strength training in June except for a week off for vacation. I hadn't lifted for over 2 weeks until this morning and my numbers were lower so I need to keep on top of it. I would still like to drop 5-10 before vacation in 2 weeks.

I bulked up over winter on purpose because I was having so much knee pain I couldn't run anymore. Now my knee is much better but I put on about 30 pounds of fat and muscle. I've been trying to cut weight for about 15 days now. Running is hard as [censored] when you're heavier (and at 5,000 feet) thus far I've been able to cut weight fairly easily. I don't eat past 3 or 4 o'clock and run 5-8 miles in the evening. Seems to be working well for me at least.

Before I went to campus last year I had a very strong will power to resist any sugar, candy, soda, pizza, basically any thing not good for you. Since I went to campus and have come home my will power is almost non-existent at this point..it's bad..hopefully by Monday I can regain the power again and try to lose some fat and put on that muscle.

Signed up for my first DietBet yesterday. $35 on the line. Wanna see how this one goes before I consider doing multiple bets.

I got $48 back for my $25 bet and $72 for my $50 bet. With the house now taking 20% those numbers would go down $2-3, but still worth it for anyone who is going to lose the weight anyway. I'm up $80 in 2 months.

Good Luck!!!

Well, my alumni football game is today. Woke up bright and early, made the Near 2 hour trek back to where it all began. Taking the opportunity to visit Some family, eat at the local dinner (forgot how awesome their food is) and Praying the weather breaks.

I didn't end up hitting my weight goal of 190lbs. Mainly because of how many Hours I've been putting in at work. It's hard to get a chance to eat every Couple of hours.

I'm hovering around 183 right now. I feel light on my feet and quick, that's The important thing. Our squad looks pretty damn solid and overall, I'm pumped for the chance to get to play again. I'll try to post a picture or two here tomorrow. Wish me luck, boys!!!

Won my DietBet this morning... just have to wait to find out how much I'm getting back.

Here's how I'm gonna celebrate:

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JVA00Fngvmg"]KFC Freestyle Delonte West - YouTube[/ame]

"Get juice, napkins, lil hot sauce... Sit down, eat Chipotle like a boss."

Winning my bet brought me down to the weight I lied about on my driver's license four years ago, so that was nice.

I'm gonna let my winnings ride on a couple more bets, but I need to wait a bit to time them right. I'll be on vacation during the end of July and beginning of August, and I don't want a bet to end while I'm away and gorging myself on seafood. On the other hand, I don't want to just let go for the next several weeks including vacation and regress. I think I'm gonna try starting one up the week before I leave so vacation would be during the second week of the bet, giving me two weeks after I get back to kick it into high gear. Maybe double up with a second bet right before/after I get back as well.

Good job. June through this coming weekend is my bad time so I'll probably jump into another round of bets next week. I'm up around 10 lbs on the month, but I'm hoping a few of those are muscle since I've been hitting the weights pretty hard for the past month. I'm at 255 now and I'd like to get down to 240 by the end of August. After that I'll probably put it on hold until my wife can start working out after she has the baby so we can both work on a program together to get rid of the baby weight.

I got back $47 on my winning $35 DietBet. I was expecting just a bit more than that, but I can't turn my nose up at any profit on weight loss that I was going to work on achieving anyway.

The bet that I entered was a larger one - over 500 participants and with that buy-in, the pot was over $18,000. I think for my next ones I'll join some smaller pools with slightly lower buy-ins. exhawg, as you mentioned earlier, it's probably the case that more people in the pool are careless with smaller bets, which means a larger slice for those who win.
