???? Are you serious? She IS hot!

That's what I'm going to miss most. I wonder if she'll stay around as a voice in Dexter's head like Harry? I also wonder how Dexter is going to handle the emotions and rage that people are going to expect from him? It isn't like he can tell them that Trinity is already dead.

This show rules!!!

From what I understand from my tv addicted gf, Rita is gone for good. No images in his head or anything like that, but w'll see.

and indeed, this show does rule.

I just started watching Season 1. Without spoiling anything, how long do I have to wait to find out who the Ice Truck Killer is? :)

I'm really intrigued by the show, but it's creeping me out. I'm not used to watching shows like this. (Yes, I'm a wuss.)

Going purely off of memory, it's somewhere like the 7th or 8th episode of the season. I could be a little off, but it's somewhere around then. Roughly 2/3 of the season wondering who it is, 1/3 knowing and getting to see the story from both sides. Season 1 is awesome.

Thanks! <spoiler>I just saw the episode where Dexter kills the couple who were murdering Cuban immigrants in the salvage yard.</spoiler> I don't think the suspense can build much more, so I'm guessing I'm getting close to finding out.

I watched the episode that aired last night on CBS and was disappointed. I had read the book, and thought it would make a great show. But last night was terrible. Unfortunately, it was a continuation of a previous storyline which made it harder I'm sure.

The characters were cliche, the dialogue was stilted and at some points I could hear William Shatner's voice in my head when the black cop was talking. I can be a nitpicker but it doesn't seem to me that a blood spatter specialist bothering to string up the spray would not also bring an evidence collection kit forcing the cop with him to collect blood spatter with a pocket knife. At least he took the whole tile, he didn't just scrape up the blood drop with the knife edge. *sigh*
I really liked "Six Feet Under" and it was hard for me to see one of those great actors fighting his way through sub-standard script writing.

I am hoping that it has something to do with it being transferred to a network that doesn't allow it's full potential, and revises or edits the episodes, as has been mentioned earlier in the thread.

Nah, the download was the Showtime season. I'm admittedly jaded, however, I read books about true crime and serial killers often. The "creep factor" is lost on me maybe, giving me too much time to judge the rest of the show.

I am, perhaps, judging too much by my own knowledge, trying to fit it a bit too much into a "cop show" instead of letting it just be a loosely crime-based drama. I remember thinking the same thing about the book way back when I first read it, that it was a little cliche' but fun. Tain't nothing really wrong with that, I just have to remember it is "escapist" fiction. :)

Uh...so I guess I should keep it to myself that I cheer when he kills someone sometimes? Whoops, too late. :wink2:

I knew you'd be converted.
