Devin Gardner (Receiving Entity)

The kid has a great deal of talent, size and speed. He's been forced to play out of his best position because of injuries and recruiting of QBs. He's taken one hell of a pounding behind the last three offensive lines - as someone posted earlier - the Best "Look Out!" blockers in the Big Ten. And he hasn't spent the final quarter of The Game riding the stationary bike, or gone on TV and made contemptuous comments about the teams that beat him.

Note ... letter is actually from OSU-Marion, not the main campus or AD.
Good. Don't want to take it too far. "Our branch Campus...no, not Newark , that's the good one...anyway, our shitty branch campus recognizes you did something so un-Michigan like, that we sent you a letter. Probably couldn't hurt to staple it to your resume."

Gardner will play WR in the East-West Shrine Game: LINK

Gardner, at 6-feet-4 and 220 pounds, was determined to be an NFL quarterback after playing the position as a backup at Michigan in 2010 and 2011 and then as a starter for the second half of 2012 through the end of his career in 2014.

But this season's struggles -- passing for 1,896 yards, 10 touchdowns and throwing 15 interceptions -- forced him to explore another position.

In December, ESPN draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. broke down Gardner's prospects:

"He could end up being a receiving entity -- that's where his future lies, not at quarterback," Kiper said. "He could end up being a later-round pick as a receiver, depending on how he works out. The pro day is going to be very important for him, combine, all that. They'll take his measurables, see how he fits in. He obviously has experience catching the ball. Could he be a late-round pick as a wide receiver, a developmental wide receiver. Yeah, he could possibly be."

Devin wanted to be a buckeye at the time, but we went with someone else. He just landed in the wrong place, at the wrong time. Good luck to him.

While I do think the kids actions during the game were very classy and human. I do have to ask, what do you think would have happened if he ended up in C-Bus? Do you actually think he would have played? Look at how deep our quarterback talent is.
