Detroit Red Wings (Official Thread)

Indeed even Lidstrom started to show his age last year with uncharacteristic mistakes.

well that and he was logging a shit-ton of ice time because they weren't safely in the playoffs until the last week of the season.

If Babcock had been able to trust Lilja and Ericcson more, I think the mistakes would have been fewer because he would have been on the ice a bit less.

He held his own and landed some blows. I'd give Perry the slight edge, but considering it's Datsyuk who fought him, it's a draw.

Look at who scored goals for Detroit tonight: Mule, Modano, Dats and Cleary.

the Wings also looked pretty energized too. :banger:

Datsyuk gets Gordie Howe Hat Trick

DETROIT – One of the Red Wings’ top scorers, and the least likely to drop his gloves, Pavel Datsyuk was thrilled to earn his first career ‘Gordie Howe’ Hat Trick.

“I’m happy to have a ‘Gordie Howe’ Hat Trick, but it’s not my best dream,” Datsyuk said.
