In case anybody was wondering where the NFL stood on which was worse, raping 20 some women.
Tell me you're not an attorney without telling me you're not an attorney.Tell me you're a Browns fan without telling me you're a Browns fan.
How the fuck does that work exactly?
It seems to me the people who are the most outraged about this situation are choosing to ignore that the women in question were almost certainly sex workers who were paid to perform sexual acts on their customers. How is what Watson did the most egregious the NFL has ever seen? They had an owner doing the same thing and didn't punish him. How many rub and tugs has Kraft had in his life?
Goodell appoints someone to give him the punishment he wants. NFLPA sues for the original punishment in federal court. Injunction granted so Watson can play while it's in court. Browns go 9-3 in first 11 games. Court rules so Watson misses the rest of the season and the Browns miss the playoffs. Probably end up suspending him part of both seasons so the contract years count against the Browns. If it's over 6-8 games I'd rather it be the whole season so his contract just gets pushed back a year.

I'm sure it wasn't the 2 they filmed him getting. I'd say Ray Rice, Big Ben, and maybe even Hunt were more egregious and I'm sure I'm missing a bunch.

I believe he saw around 60 message therapists during that time, and 24 of them came forward to be a part of the suit. The numbers check out to me in terms of what you would expect from an industry where sex work is a strong undercurrent.Certainly in the Kraft situation. I'm less sure about Watson. I will say I knew a couple massage therapists who were wine customers of mine. They liked to talk while they drank. One was a "no way" on this kinda thing, the other ummm... Less so. (No, I had no ummm... First Hand.... Knowledge)

I imagine it was a pretty easy sell for the lawyer representing them, something like: “Hey, do you enjoy the aspect of your work that involves sexual activity with clients?”
“No, not really.”
“Join this civil suit then.”
“Okay.”
“Would you like to press criminal charges and open yourself and your work up to additional scrutiny.”
“No, I don’t think that’s a good idea.”
I’m not condoning his actions, but the idea that sex work isn’t a strong undercurrent in this industry that many partake in, and Watson was way out on a limb in his behavior, strikes me as disingenuous or purposefully obtuse.
