Denard "LLL" Robinson (an excellent driver)

Same tap out tendencies when the going got tough. Pitt v WVa in 2007.

I have to disagree with this.

1) White dislocated his thumb. I've dislocated a thumb and I can tell you that it was the single most painful injury I've ever had to a joint. I couldn't use the thumb for a couple of days.

2) White went back into that game in the fourth quarter and played. When DeTard taps out, he taps out for good.

Denard Robinson discusses when he knew he wasn't an NFL QB

Denard Robinson isn't the best prospect at the Senior Bowl this week -- it's not close.

.../snip/...

But when, exactly, did he make the decision to transition away from the position that made "Denard" a household name?

Turns out, it was the elbow injury that forced Robinson out of the quarterback spot for the final five games of his Michigan career that helped him understand his future was not under center.

"And then after the season, it was like, 'Look, let's do this," he said this week. "With what happened with my (elbow), it was kind of an unfortunate situation, what happened. But it kind of opened my eyes, 'OK, let's make it happen.'"
Yikes, that means he still thought he had a shot as an NFL QB up to the middle of this season.
