Denard Robinson OK with fewer carries

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson says it is all right with him if the new coaches call fewer plays designed for him to run.

Robinson was the star attraction at media day Sunday after his record-breaking season under Rich Rodriguez last year.

He became the first player in NCAA history to throw and run for 1,500 yards in a season. Robinson averaged nearly 20 rushing attempts each game, and coach Brady Hoke plans to perhaps cut that number in half.

Hoke says if the Wolverines don't win the Big Ten championship, the coaches have failed. He says their job is to put the players in the best positions to have success.

Keeping Robinson healthy enough to play will be a priority after injuries knocked him out of games last year.
