Denard "LLL" Robinson (an excellent driver)

What's with the hype around Denard Robinson?

He's a horrible quarterback, but he always gets hyped up like he's something special. He's being mentioned as a Heisman hopeful?

He played like crap for 90% of the game against Notre Dame, and he didn't win the game nearly as much as ND collapsed.

Otherwise he has played Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan, San Diego State, Minnesota, and Northwestern. None of those teams are exactly powerhouses nor are they very good on defense.

Watching this game against Michigan State just proves that when Robinson plays a team that actually fields a defense, he's ineffective at best but mostly a garbage QB.

He's an excellent runner, but he plays QB not RB. A quarterbacks job is to throw the ball. A QB that can also run is excellent (look at Troy Smith and Terrelle Pryor), but if he is a horrible passer....he's not going to be very good throughout an entire football season.

And as I type this, he throws a pick-six to put Sparty up by two touchdowns late in the fourth quarter.

At most schools, he wouldn't be any more than an emergency third string QB at best. He would be playing wide receiver and on kick returns.

Any TSUN fans that think they have a chance to actually beat Ohio State this year are misled, not with "Shoelace" at quarterback, that's for sure.

Let's see...the first time DR played a good defense all year and what do we get?

A horrible passing day (38% completion percentage and game losing pick six). Again.

Tapping out when his team needs him in the second half. Again.

Not showing up in the running game. Again.

Anyone still think this guy is a Heisman candidate? :slappy:

Media loves flash, even if it is against the crappiest of the crappy.
Watch some "2010 Michigan Highlight" thing on youtube and you see some great plays. Lots of them. But when you understand that Michigan actually played someone other than Eastern and Western Michigan, you'll know that he must not have done much, leaving one to wonder if he was hurt or just contained against better defenses. (Of course, it was both.)
