Whether it was him being forced out, or retiring on his own...we all knew that Joe Paterno would pass away shortly after he was done coaching at Penn State.

All I can say is I'm glad I am not, nor ever was a Penn State fan. Maybe you shouldn't assault opposing fans and throw bottles of piss at their band, because karma is a bitch.

Its disturbing that one is a huge national story, the other no one even thinks twice about.

Joe Pa did a lot of good things in his life and was praised as a virtuous man who ran a clean and above board program which makes his actions in the Sandusky case even more disturbing ..his stature alone made it possible for a serial rapist to continue his reign of terror..Thankfully BOB will not have the same power and control..

That applies to a lot of things around the world, every day. It's neither a defense nor an excuse, but simply a reason.

Joe Pa's history will be rewritten upon his death. Some were already softening their opinions of him because of his condition even though he wasn't any more or less guilty of bad judgment than he was a month ago.
