If the statue does stay up, the opportunities for vandalism and shenanigans will be astronomical.

Ten or twenty years of pictures like this or worse and I bet the die hard fans will wish that they had taken the statue down after all to continue living in their fantasy world uninterrupted by constant vandalism-based reminders.

Just looking at that dude makes me wonder how someone with a microphone could pass up the interview. i know it would make me laugh.
