Decanonized Mythologized Disgraced Ped State Monster Coach Joe Paterno (Zombie Icon)

The family got all up in arms after the CNN story broke but went quiet just as quickly. I wonder if someone close enough to this pulled them aside and gave them a bit of a preview and a suggestion to put a sox in it because it will be getting a lot worse before it gets any better.

I think most of us saw that coming. The timing of Sanduskys retirement and curious behaviors by Joe after were too suspicious to not wonder about. I just hope we finally get the whole truth when the rest of the conspirators are in court. I can't wait to see Spanier use the "JoePa was the real boss" defense.

That is disgusting...this could be a lengthy cover up, not just of this sex abuse case, but of other infractions/violations/etc. Grab a seat, it's about to get fun with state college going down, all the way to China town

Oh it will get much worse for the Ped-Heads once the report is published. Joe ran that place like it was his own fiefdom, and the probe is going to go pretty deep from what I have heard. I think Joe gave up and died just because he knew his house of cards was going to be obliterated now that Jer the Pedobear got busted.

You know, now that I think about it, Joe hanging on to that HC position for dear life makes a ton of sense now. He knew that if he were to step aside, that he would lose control over the information about his program and the skeletons in his closet. I mean the guy basically told the BOT to fuck off every time they tried to get rid of the old fart. I believe that when he was forced out, he knew that his little world of "JoePa is so Great!!" would eventually turn into "Say it ain't so, Joe!?!?!" once the info started to come out and he just gave up.

I agree. I think JoePa figured he would coach until he was dead and that once he was dead, the college football world would surely go easy on all the crap buried with him.

Well, I don't think he figured all this stuff could come out into the public eye before he died.

His reputation died before he died and that hurt him a lot, I'm sure. But if he could see how badly his reputation is hurt now, he'd have quit long ago.

In a subsequent e-mail to then-Penn State President Graham Spanier she is more blunt: "I am very troubled by the manipulative, disrespectful, uncivil and abusive behavior of our football coach," she writes.

Triponey has been interviewed by the Freeh group, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation.

Oh boy - something tells me this bird is gonna sing.

In the same e-mail, she calls Paterno's behavior "atrocious" and said others are mimicking his behavior. "It is quite shocking what this man -- who is idolized by people everywhere -- is teaching our students..." she writes.

After Triponey tried to discipline football players in the same manner as other students, she was harassed both online and at her home, according to a source with knowledge of the investigation. On her front lawn somebody put up a "for sale" sign. Police installed a surveillance camera. In the end, the source says Spanier suggested she think about her future at Penn State, and she resigned.

After Triponey left Penn State, the university changed its discipline policy involving off-campus incidents. Its current code of conduct says it only applies to "off campus conduct that affects a Substantial University interest."

From what I have heard talking to PSU alums, everyone hated her while she was there. While unsurprising, the motivations behind the hatred were interesting. Apparently, any student who came under legal issues off-campus were subject to being suspended from school until all legal issues were resolved. That alone would make her unpopular amongst students.

I won't discuss the merits of her time at PSU, but it seemed like she had a history of trying to antagonize people.
