Yeah, I think if anyone paid attention to Harrison's recruitment, you knew that he was a project with a crazy high ceiling. He needed at least 2yrs to develop. And with 2020 being so up and down due to Covid 19, then we should've expected some stunted growth. But he has every trait you want in an elite DE, and then some! Another kid that a normal full off season will benefit from immensely!

And with a full off season, we have enough talent to replace Toagi between: Jackson, Cage and Vincent.

Excellent points, I think a lot of us fans (myself included) didn't have realistic expectations for where Zach would be last season and kind of forgot he came in as a recruit pretty raw. However, I do think some of the massive expectations came from the rave reviews from the coaches before the season, it sounded like he was further along than he was. Even with that said, he had a pretty damn good year if you look at his pass rush efficiency stats. But I do think he makes that Chase Young leap this year.

Yeah I look at the coaches comments from before the season, and hindsight shows that they were being insanely optimistic regarding the defense and expected Fields to win us games and let the defense be good enough. And tbh they were right with that, it got us to the NC. But Zach has to turn the switch on, or our defense doesn’t get much better. What we truly missed last year was an elite DE to get constant pressure. Not saying that beats Bama, but makes it at least closer. I think we’re all rooting for Harrison

ESPN draft analyst Todd McShay revealed his first 2022 mock draft earlier this week, featuring Harrison as the fourth defensive end picked in next year’s NFL Draft. He has the the New York Jets selecting the 6-foot-6, 268-pound defensive lineman with the No. 25 overall pick.

Dane Brugler, The Athletic’s draft expert, projects Harrison in the mid-20s, too. Brugler believes the Ohio State defensive end will be the fourth edge rusher drafted next year, heading to the Green Bay Packers at No. 25. And FOX college football writer R.J. Young has Harrison slated the highest, drafted by the New York Giants with the No. 6 overall pick.

All three draft analysts believe Harrison’s hasn’t even come close to reaching his ceiling yet. With another season under the guidance of defensive line coach Larry Johnson paired with the sample size of improvement he’s shown this spring, Harrison’s draft stock will rest in his production this fall.

I think we all hope that Zach reaches his potential this year! It would go a very long way in getting back to the NC

This kid could have the type of year where he makes himself a 1st round pick if he plays up to his potential. A year like that would make the secondarys job that much easier.
