DE Nick Bosa (Pro Bowl, All Pro, 2019 ROY, 2022 DPOY, San Francisco 49ers)

Nick, Jones and Young are likely going to see more playing time against TCU. My guess is that we will see much less action by the back ups in the back seven as well. This is a statement game and Bosa and company are wanting to slam home a point.

I hear this and sure they'll play more... but also want to see the rotation continue and keep 'em fresh. If the O can jump out first 2 series, Dline should rotate and keep throwing fresh dudes at them... then bring the A team back in and make them tap out. That would be ideal in my imo.
I want to see Harrison do some spying on 4man rushes... guy just looks like Hulk back there with the DBs. Bring the pain ... rather than blitzing just let the front 4 do their thing with a QB spy safety net.

TLDR I feel good about our 2s... we got the studs to just terrorize their Oline into capitulation.

TCU GAME NOTEBOOK: NICK BOSA SUFFERS INJURY, AUSTIN MACK BATTLES DROPS, DWAYNE HASKINS RUNS FOR A TOUCHDOWN AND RYAN DAY COMPLETES HEAD COACHING TENURE

96535_h.jpg

On the opening defensive series of the second half of Saturday’s game, star defensive end Nick Bosa was held by a TCU offensive lineman (though no penalty was called) and suffered an injury in the process. After staying down on the turf for a couple minutes, Bosa slowly limped off the field and then back to the locker room, and when he returned to the sidelines later in the second half, he was no longer in uniform.

Ohio State acting head coach Ryan Day did not provide an update on Bosa’s health after the game, as the medical staff was still evaluating his injury at the time of Day’s press conference. ESPN’s Maria Taylor, however, reported that Bosa suffered a lower abdominal strain.

We probably won’t know until at least Monday what the prognosis is for Bosa and when he will be able to return to game action. The Buckeyes probably won’t take any chances next weekend, considering that they’re hosting Tulane, but surely, it would be a big hit for their defense if he’s not back on the field two Saturdays from now at Penn State.

Bosa had a big first half before his injury, recording a strip sack on the goal line that fellow defensive lineman Davon Hamilton recovered for a touchdown, along with five total tackles.

Lower abdomen strain apparently?

The fact he was pointing to his groin and the medical release after half was lower abdomen, I’m inclined to think it’s a hip flexor strain. Given his stretching routine and the fact he was walking fine in street clothes, could be looking 10-14 days off with ice packs and therapy. Give him this week off and see where is Wednesday of Penn St week.

Had a few groin pulls and yeah they suck... the way he was walking to me shows it wasn't crazy bad. If it was bad he wouldn't have been walking around guys. IMO he will for sure be out this week and probable for PED U.

Sure he had a limp but again if it was bad they wouldn't have allowed him to walk around.

Hey, if you're right, that's amazing news. Sure hope so. Anyway, Nick, you're in all our prayers. :urban2:
