DE Logan George (Official Thread)

This is a surprise name. Kid must be good, but never heard of him.
6-5 260(same size as Sawyer), plays outside in a 3man front but also can slide inside in a Rushmen package

In 12 starts for Idaho State this season, George recorded 57 total tackles, 19.5 tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks. Per Pro Football Focus’ grades, George recorded an overall grade of 73 for the 2024 season (an above-average grade) and was graded 71.5 in run defense and 73.4 in pass rush. He played 648 total defensive snaps.

19.5 TFL is a ton regardless of level, guy lived in the backfield. Obviously a big competition jump but I imagine he's at least a nice rotational piece.

He had a good game vs Oregon State and good games against their better FCS opponents (Montana State & Idaho)
Have a few friends involved with the ISU program and they rave about this kid. But the competition jump he'll need to acclimate to no doubt. Needs to fine tune muscle development and technique, but plenty of upside. Will be fun to follow.

If this kid can even provide quality depth to let the(presumed) starters: Curry and Jackson rest. And then he, Mickens and Kirks can continue relentless pressure.
This signing also probably shows that OSU may go to a more multiple front(finally), as they have 2 DEs in the 230s(I'm including CJ Hicks here with Mickens) and 2 DE backups around 260. And both starters are 260, and the bigger DEs can play inside as well if needed
