DE Joey Bosa (Def ROY, 3x Pro Bowl, Los Angeles Chargers)

Ohio State junior DE Joey Bosa said the only possible reason he would return for the 2016 season is to play with his brother.

Nick Bosa, a 5-star member of the 2016 class, will join Ohio State next season. Seeing two Bosa's on the field at once would be a terror for offenses, but we don't see any way the older brother stays. He has a legitimate shot to be the No. 1 pick thanks to his combination of power and explosion.

At least floating the possibility...

Joey Bosa Opens Up About NFL and Potential Last Game at Ohio Stadium

TyQuanCoombsBosaWashingtonCarmen.jpg

Joey Bosa can’t declare for the NFL Draft right now since the college football season is still in progress, but the Ohio State defensive end might as well have on Monday.

Saturday’s game with Michigan State is Senior Day for the Buckeyes and Bosa was asked how this game could be for him as possibly his last one in Ohio Stadium.

“It’s so crazy,” Bosa responded. “I haven’t really thought about it at all yet. It’s hard to even think that three years is almost over already.

“It’s definitely going to be an emotional day for me.”

Bosa’s career isn’t over yet and thus far it’s been an impressive one for the once five-star prospect out of Florida. To this point, Bosa has 137 total career tackles, 50 tackles for a loss, and 25 sacks. Over the last three seasons, he’s forced four fumbles and recovered two.

For the defensive end, his time in Columbus has gone by quickly.

“You could listen to what everybody says, but you really don’t understand it until you go through it all with cherishing every moment you have here,” he explained. “It’s really crazy that three years has flown by so quick.

“It’s still hard even after all of that to take every moment in one at a time, but I’m trying as best as I can to not wish time by and just take in every moment.”

While it seems inevitable that Bosa will depart Ohio State after the conclusion of this season, there is one thing making him consider staying; one person that is.

“Now my brother’s going to be taking my spot here next year,” Bosa said of his younger brother Nick who is committed to the Buckeyes for the 2016 class.

“I’d have to say the only possible thing that would keep me here is playing with Nicky. Not even playing with him, just to be able to be here and show him how it’s going to be. I know he’ll be fine, but it would be so nice to be here and help him through it.”

Nick is a consensus five-star defensive end and is expected to fill in for Joey when he leaves, but if the two were to be a tandem on the defense next year, it could be one of the scariest lines in the history of college football.

In all likelihood, Bosa’s Buckeyes career is over once the season is complete. While he couldn’t confirm or deny what decision he will make, he didn’t shut the door completely on his return.

“We’ll see when the time comes.”

Fansided Mock NFL Draft, the first player selected in the 2016 NFL draft:

1. Cleveland Browns - Joey Bosa, DE, Ohio State

The Cleveland Browns are suffering through yet another losing season. They have major issues on both sides of the ball with the defense taking a major step backwards. However, Johnny Manziel’s solid play is a bit of a bright spot.

Manziel is expected to start the rest of the season which will give Cleveland a chance to decide his long-term future. If he plays well enough, the Browns would have a chance to address some of the issues on defense.

Ohio State’s Joey Bosa is a stud defender who excels at wreaking havoc in the backfield. His versatility is a major asset as he not only generates pressure on the quarterback but also supports the run.

If the Browns are dead set against moving forward with Johnny Manziel than they will have some options at quarterback. California’s Jared Goff is my top-rated quarterback and someone worthy of the top pick.

There’s also the possibility that Cleveland considers upgrading the quarterback via free agency. They had interest in Sam Bradford this past offseason and could revisit that option again. Bradford is having a rough season in Philadelphia and is likely to be available.

The good news for Cleveland is that if they land the top pick they’ll have a chance to add a difference maker.
