DE Chase Young (Nagurski, Hendricks, Bednarik, Silver Football, NFL DROY, New Orleans Saints)

And can he actually prove he paid it back....

I’m confident that:

A: The University wouldn’t allow that Chase tweet unless they were confident it’s a minor issue that can be resolved quickly.

B: Reinstatement talk wouldn’t be happening at this point if the sum happened to be large.

C: This defense is ready to show out for any games Chase is required to sit. They’ve spent the entire season answering questions about Chase, so they’ll be looking for some shine.

If the family friend is a booster, he still has some issues. That's a wide definition.

I do have one question: how did he earn the money to pay it back?

Let's not spike the football just yet. Who's the friend, and how much money?

And can he actually prove he paid it back....

Fine. Here's my thing, I think if the answer to any of these things is "worse" than it sounds, he probably doesn't do the tweet. I find it unlikely given the tone of it, that wasn't ok'd by someone.

All of this is logical, but I never underestimate the ability of OSU's PR people to fuck things up.

Given how badly OSU's PR department handled the Urban situation last year, I'll believe literally anything at this point in time. I'm not freaking out or anything - I think the university did the right thing here. It is what it is....
