DE Chase Young (Nagurski, Hendricks, Bednarik, Silver Football, NFL DROY, New Orleans Saints)

If it's true that it was his family getting their flight paid to for the Rose Bowl then that would most likely be over $1k. Does it count if it didn't directly benefit Chase? I'm sure that the "hope for leniency" part.
Where did you get that from?

If the NCAA is really going to suspend a kid because his family got to see him play in the Rose Bowl on the other side of the country, the NCAA can fuck off.

Really? You think I'm just engaging in conjecture? Think about college players in the last few years. Young HAD to know he was committing a serious violation, putting the whole team's year at risk, yet he did it anyway (allegedly). By my definition, it's selfishness, and that will lead to sitting out. It's not hard.

It was a fair question. No need to be a dick just because Chase pissed in your cheerios

My goodness.....can we wait to see exactly what this about before completely melting down? We know nothing right now.....maybe he took cash, maybe he was overpaid by $3 working a summer job, maybe his mom got a paid of shoes at Payless BOGO instead of half off. Who the fuck knows? Let’s sit back and wait for some facts before stoning anyone.
Can we at least get stoned ourselves?

On his deathbed I'm sure Young will say "I'm glad I took that $50 from that agent. Being the first Defensive Lineman to win the Heisman and cementing myself as one of the greatest college players ever is overrated"

Prediction: He will be suspended for 2 games but will not come back.

Care to enlighten the rest of us in the Rumor Mill since you seem to know the details of the situation so well that you know not only that Chase is guilty of wrongdoing, but also that he is going to abandon the team if reinstated?

if not, maybe wait for the facts to come out before making posts like this.

 OK....it took a bit longer than I expected, but we've reached the stage where the fanbase says some of the dumbest fucking things imaginable. I'm out.

edit - and this isn't directed at the post directly above mine. that's just bad timing.

Come on now. It can always get worse. You're potentially missing out on a lot of good stuff.

I have no facts. None. I never claimed to have any. BUT going on the past and seeing how college football players are reacting to things recently, it's my guess. I'll be thrilled if I'm wrong. I haven't felt this confident in a guess since Maurice Claret got suspended for a year. I said on this very site that he should take the suspension, come back, have a great year, then go on to the NFL. I also said that I was 100% sure he would not do that.
