Agree. He made a lot of very big plays for us in very big games, so I will always remember him fondly. But he is extremely inconsistent in almost every aspect of playing safety (bad angles, missed tackles, blown passing assignments, etc.) and if he doesn't tear up the combine, which I don't think he does as he's never stood out as some sort of physical freak, then he is going to go late if at all. Still, he already has his degree and his closest friends are going as well, so I can't blame the guy for the decision. Good luck, Tyvis.

I think he's got a future in Hollywood if the early-departure thing doesn't work out. One of my favorite personalities on this team.

Current draft grades have him as the 4th best safety option in the draft this year. I see him going in the 5th-ish round.

Nothing left for him to accomplish in college.

Whenever I hear his name, I'll always think of his INT to seal the W against Michigan in 2013. His INT at the end of the Bama game last year wasn't bad either.

Personally I think this is a huge mistake. Could very likely go undrafted and I think a year of being "the guy" in the secondary would benefit him. Nonetheless, good luck Tyvis, you were a great player here.

oh man is this going to be bad as far as overall how many people are going to be leaving. Big mistake IMO but good luck Tyvis.

Dude had problems with dropped picks, pursuit angles, and wrapping up all year and he jets? If he's leaving I don't see how many are staying to be honest as I was really confident in him staying.

He has absolutely no reason to stay. He has his ring, he has his degree, and everyone he came to OSU with is now gone. Kid has a bright future no matter what he does. Start making money and pursuing your dream.
