DB Najee Murray (Montreal Alouettes)

Haha this is great seeing everybody come on here and chime in with positive feedback. Najee is special for sure. My biggest problem was how he was mismanaged on the offensive side of the ball. But you can't really argue with a hall of fame coach in Reno. Murray will be either a safety or corner. GO BUCKS

Another senior to watch from Big Red is DE William Houst. Kid is a beast with a non-stop motor!

Probably not the best comparison but I was reminded of Ryan Shazier when watching Najee play. He just looks like a missile when pursuing people and then he just obliterates ball carriers and receivers. Similar to Shazier, I'm left wondering how that guy can be so fast yet hit so hard. Very excited to see him put on the S&G and greatful to have such a great kid representing our University.

NOW A BUCKEYE ? Steubenville Big Red?s Najee Murray, flanked by his parents Horace and Danita, signed his letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic careers at Ohio State University, where he will play football. Also on hand for the signing were his sisters, Naysha and Justine, Big Red football coach Reno Saccoccia and his grandmother, Justine.

STEUBENVILLE - Najee Murray made it official Wednesday morning, becoming a member of the Ohio State University football team.

"This is a dream come true," he said. "Without a doubt it is. Ohio State has been my dream since I started growing up and maturing.

"I've been anxious for this day. Now I can officially say I'm a Buckeye."

Murray made a verbal commitment to interim head coach Luke Fickell in June, but was continually recruited by other schools.

"I just ignored them," he said with a laugh. "I stayed committed and stayed true to the Buckeyes."

He was recently visited by defensive coordinator Fickell, defensive line coach Mike Vrabel and assistant head coach Everett Withers.

"It was a nice time with the coaches. I enjoyed talking with them," said Murray, who is undecided on a major.

Murray met with and sat down and talked with new Buckeyes coach Urban Meyer during his official visit.

"He's a great coach. He reminds me a lot of coach Sac - aggressive," Murray said, comparing Meyer to Big Red football coach Reno Saccoccia.
