Defensive back Chad Hagan (Canonsburg, Pa./ Canon-McMillan) has four scholarship offers as Michigan, North Carolina State and Buffalo have recently joined Illinois in extending Hagan an offer.
However, Hagan feels Ohio State may also soon offer and it is the Buckeyes that sit at the top of the 6-1, 210-pounder's list.
"(Ohio State defensive backfield) coach (Paul) Haynes tells me how much he wants me to play safety for him," Hagan said. "I think I'll be getting an offer from them pretty soon. Ohio State is still my favorite."
Hagan played both safety and running back during his junior season. He made 63 tackles and rushed for 800 yards and 12 touchdowns. Hagan had the cast removed from his left leg on Thursday, but he is still recovering from a stress fracture of the shin.
"Michigan offered on Wednesday," Hagan said. "[Ohio State defensive backfield] Coach [Paul] Haynes tells me how much he wants me to play safety for him. I think I'll be getting an offer from them pretty soon. Ohio State is still my favorite."
In addition to Ohio State, Illinois, Michigan and Penn State, Wisconsin is another Big Ten school in contact.
"Wisconsin is recruiting me to play running back," Hagan said. "They are probably going to send an offer."

Chad picked up a Michigan offer but says tOSU is still his clear favorite. He scored 1190 on the SAT.
1190 likely includes writing score as well...

What athletes must achieve to gain entry is well known to be different from a regular schmo. Nothing wrong with that - these are athletic scholarships, not Rhodes Scholarships.wadc45;1470611; said:Rivals $

By Wasserman...says he thinks his test scores are where the OSU staff wanted to see them at to get an offer...has offers from Illinois, Michigan, N.C. State and Buffalo...and is receiving interest from Penn State, Minnesota, Pitt, Purdue, Wisconsin and West Virginia.
