Are the recruiting gurus getting fat and not evaluating kids properly unless they are already famous, or are our coaches changing how they evaluate talent and really studying them and paying less attention to the so called scouts star rating. This kid looks great. Here's hoping he is not the only hard hitting DB we land from Georgia this week.

Just watched his film and I'm extremely impressed...looks closer to 6 foot than 5'10 or at least plays like it. I think you can stick him about anywhere in the secondary...he flies up and blows through bubble screen blocks, then wraps up and explodes through the tackle. He is natural in coverage and plays the ball well in air...always high-points the ball and looks like a leaper. Didn't really see his hips in coverage (hard to tell on film usually since they don't track the corners on the routes) but he gets turned around well with the ball in air. So much versatility and pretty sound technique...no idea how this kid did not have more offers unless I was maybe watching his senior film and he is a late bloomer. I could see him as our boundary corner and Ward as our more pure coverage guy. Gotta love taking him from the Juggalos as well :evil:

In any event, welcome aboard Mr. Norwood!

We need hungry, aggressive DBs to fit into Ash's system. Idk much about Norwood but I trust the coaches will make him big time CFB ready. He and Ward are some nice projects to work with
