That was a really good article! I always knew i liked Jamie a lot! He has never ending potential because of the drive and work ethic he has.

I attended the UA/Pick Central game this past Saturday...

Jamie really stands out on the field...He has great size, and just looks like a safety...He was used to lock up in man coverage quite a bit and they seemed to run away from him when they would spread him out...

We all know he is not afraid to stick his nose in there and mix it up, and from what I saw his coverage was very good...I really hope that Jamie can fill a hole that has kinda been missing since Whitner left, in terms of the safety that can really cover, but we can blitz him, and he can come up and play the run real well, not 10 yds down the field, but make some plays behind the line at times...

On offense, if the coach would of gave him and Boren the ball more, I truly believe the game would not of been close...Everytime Wood touched the ball he went for 5 or more yds...He had one carry in the first half, for 5 yds when he looked to be bottled up in the backfield on a toss, but foudn the hole and pushed the pile ahead...But it was his 3rd carry after his 2nd when for 10 yds, when he bust up the middle and took it to the house, leaivng everyone in the dust, and UA had some speed on their team...Went for about 50 yds on that play...

But his size is evident...Really well put together...

What Scouts Inc. looks for: These guys are hard-hitting athletes who love the collision aspect of the game. They must be able to punish the ball carrier or receiver while still attacking under control; it doesn't do any good if you miss. The more aggressive and intimidating the better; nothing is more demoralizing to an opponent than a high-impact collision on one of its skilled athletes.

3. Jamie Wood (Pickerington, Ohio/Central)

Wood never takes a play off on either side of the football, but is most impressive when he is "delivering the wood." He is a tremendous edge blitzer who can completely disrupt all action in the offensive backfield -- run or pass. He often can run down the ball carrier or quarterback from behind. Wood also carries over his hitting prowess to special teams, where he makes pad-cracking tackles on the coverage units.

Trying to keep the excitement to a minimum knowing that there is still over a month to go till signing day, but it's tough not get giddy w/this kind of update. Jamie seems to have the same kind of rounded maturity and confident sense of self worth that Brewster has, and Brewster is a true frosh starter, is he not? Can't help but think that Jamie is in for some serious impact PT himself right out of the gate. And, thanks, Jamie, for all of your hard work.
