Why stay? He could leave and get practice in, in his new defense for ththe remainder of the season. That would be my guess.Why would he do it now, i.e. not wait until after the season?
But Pryors style of play is from a foregone era. Hes a Archuleta, Lynch, May's type of S, that can hit but is a liability in coverage. Pryor could possibly be a stud as someone's hybrid S/LB. I thought he would excel as Bullet, but maybe not. Best of luck
