Just to be clear since I know that this is directed toward me. I never wanted to bench Fox, I wanted him to play safety. His leadership and tackling skills would have worked well there. His coverage is what I thought was weak, and still do, because I have had nothing to prove me wrong (although I admidt his improvement prior to the injury was good). The two corners we have been playing, cover skills I do not see a problem with. Fox, Shawn Springs, or even Deion Sanders in his prime I don't believe could have stoped Wisconsin's touchdown receptions this past week. Those were just perfectly thrown balls, and when that happens it is hard to stop.
In fact I would say that the tackling problems have had a lot to do with Salley and Whitner trying to blow people up and head hunt vs. hit wrap drive plant. This would help make my point even more, as to why he should be playing safety.

Wisconsin only drove down the field on us twice, and although the 3rd down passes were killers there big plays (other than the two touchdowns) came on the ground. Your corners generally are not used in run support that much, although it is a plus, but safeties are suppose to be able to come up and make a stick if necessary. Our safeties need to learn than you can still blow someone up with a form openfield tackle.
