Brown makes impact
A story in One Of America's Great Newspapers today points out how Gateway's Dorian Bell is having a terrific season. High School Football Notebook: Gateway's Bell rings up touchdowns, too. But the other half of Gateway's dynamic duo also has been making a big impact.
Corey Brown, a senior receiver-defensive back, and Bell are both Ohio State recruits. Brown has 22 receptions for 386 yards. He already has set the school record for touchdown catches in a season with 10. On defense, he has 20 tackles, including two for loss, one forced fumble and two interceptions.

Gateway fired right back. Junior field general Rob Kalkstein found Corey Brown on a nine-yard fade pattern to make it 7-3, Gateway. It was Brown's 11th touchdown reception of the year.
"We've got a little connection; we've been doing this for three years," Brown said.

Brown had two catches for 25 yards, returned two punts for six yards, and had a fumble recovery on defense.
