DB Brendon White (transfer to Rutgers)

Bingo!
He didn't kill, just made it so that we didn't need it as much THIS year. Like I said, a good problem to have

Possibly not. But we won't know that until another DC is hired.
And I don' think we missed out on anything, we're the #2 ranked team in the country, in the CFP, won the B1G for the 3rd straight year, decimated our rival in front of the world. Not sure what he problem is, or why we're complaining about one player. He had a great year last year, and wasn't needed this year, and guess what, read my last sentence of what this team accomplished :roll2:
This is the way I feel about Hafley, he did his job if we can’t win or recruit without him. We have big problems. The other coaches have to step up and if I was a player I’d be a little offended. Okudah Wade Arnette Fuller have proven to be NFL talent. They’d be fine with Kyle and I coaching them.

If that was the case he may have had the opportunity to play in blowouts and didn't. If the didn't play all year (I haven't seen him), then he can play immediately next year.

Might not have wanted the opportunity though. Great team or not, if your dad gets fired from a school, there are some kids who just wouldn't be comfortable wearing the uniform.

Not saying that's what happened, but there isn't any explanation where the situation makes a lot of sense for him to have not played garbage time.

He played most of the season (in a diminishing role as the season wore on), though it feels like most of buckeye nation feels it never happened once.

He also alternated with Werner a good bit in September, and Werner was a better fit.

One always hates to see a legacy go...and a former player father lose his Buckeye role. I just see expectancy disconfirmation theory at work.

Brendan gets a shot and lights it up last year. The bullet position developed he's the frontrunner--finally, everyone will see his greatness--except in the new scheme they don't. Dad loses role, playing time lessens, frustration builds. So many expectations that never came to fruition.

He committed at 15, was messed around at different positions by former coaches from the start, found and lost a spot, feels totally screwed. This is a story of a kid that grew up bleeding scarlet and gray, feeling like the University he loved has become toxic in his life (not saying it has, but what he thinks and feels).

He is a fool to leave before the CFPis over. Ohio State may be fools for having allowed things to get this far (or not, depending on what has happened.

Personally I just think we could've used him more this season to spell the backers. I know he's a differenr position but I would've liked to had seen Harrison slide to MLB some with White/Werner flanking him.

No reason that Tuf should've got more playing time IMO.
