Hall has joined co-founder Antonio Smith, a former teammate at OSU and on the Indianapolis Colts, in making more than 100 speaking appearances at schools.

Their biggest project of late: collecting 100,000 pounds of food for a Dec. 14 giveaway at Moler Elementary School on the South Side.

“Roy and I had similar upbringings,” said Smith, who was raised primarily by a grandmother while attending Brookhaven High School.

“We both shared some of the same beliefs about giving back, so we decided to join forces.”

Hall, a wide receiver, and Smith, a defensive back, both earned 2002 national-

championship rings as OSU freshmen and later earned degrees — Hall in marketing and Smith in engineering.

Both played for the Colts in 2007.

Smith, 29, works full time for Dynamix Engineering in Columbus and, as time allows, helps with Driven.
