I was fascinated to hear Hokey claim that he & Brandon had not spoken over the week-end. At all. Not even for a pizza order.

Are we supposed to believe that a controversy about their football program is blowing up in every media outlet on earth, and they aren't talking about it?

Wasn't the only statement I heard in today's presser that made me cry BS, but it's in the top five on my list.

Gene Smith would've fired Hoke the second that ABC thing went live; maybe even before that. Love him or hate him, that guy is the king of Survivor.

Brandon is in the fast lane to getting both himself and Hoke fired. This saddens me. I really want... no, need... Brandon to keep leading "Michigan Man" HC searches for these asshats.

The University of Michigan's largest donor is giving an unequivocal vote of confidence to Athletic Director David Brandon, who has been under criticism for a struggling Wolverines football team along with increased event prices and marketing gimmicks.

"He's probably the most qualified athletic director in the country. I think he's terrific," said billionaire real estate developer Stephen Ross, a UM alumnus who has given the university $310 million in recent years.

Ross, who owns the National Football League's Miami Dolphins and is estimated by Forbes to be worth $6 billion, said his donations to the athletic department happened because he trusts Brandon.
