Arizona State helping Michigan State football with Dante Moore?

Arizona State owes Michigan State football a solid after those two heartbreaking losses the Sun Devils handed the Spartans in 2018 and 2019.

Well, they’re doing their best to pay the Spartans back.

As you probably already know, Michigan State is in the running for five-star quarterback Dante Moore who is currently committed to Oregon. As you also probably already know, Oregon is having a really good season under Dan Lanning and offensive coordinator Kenny Dillingham.

This success has led to Dillingham entertaining head coaching offers from other schools and one of those programs looking to make a splash hire is actually his alma mater: Arizona State.

Those have been just rumors for weeks, but according to 247Sports’ Chris Hummer, Arizona State has had discussions with Dillingham already and that could easily turn into an offer.



And if your alma mater offers you, it’s tough to say no.

So how does this help Michigan State football?

Well, Moore is currently committed to Oregon and one of the main reasons he chose the Ducks was because of Dillingham. Sure, Lanning is a plus, too, but he’d be working closely with Dillingham so that relationship is every bit as important.

If Dillingham leaves for a vacant job elsewhere, that makes the draw to stay with Oregon that much weaker.
