Dallas Cowboys (Official Thread)

should Jones fire McCarthy?
discuss
Yes.
Kellen Moore for sure....dude is a play calling mental midget....
Yes.

That was one of the worst called games I've ever seen offensively.

It's pretty clear it was Aaron Rodgers carrying McCarthy's ass in Green Bay. They got stale under him, fire him, and are right back amongst the best in the league. Meanwhile, McCarthy is embarrassing himself in Dallas. And, yes, Jerry Jones' boy Kellen Moore is awful.

Thing is, Dallas is never getting anywhere until Jerry Jones gets his hands off the product. They've been an average to below average team for most of the last quarter century and there is one constant...

Cowboys fans spend most of the time talking about offense, and Dak in particular, but if they don't start playing defense they're never going anywhere. Pathetic.

QB Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys reach four-year, $160 million deal, source says

The Dallas Cowboys and quarterback Dak Prescott have agreed to a four-year, $160 million contract, including $126 million guaranteed, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

Prescott's signing bonus is $66 million, the highest in NFL history, a source told ESPN. The first three years of the deal average $42 million per year, a source told Schefter.

Will destroy the NFL...
If one position on the team gets $40M, you've created an untenable situation for the rest of the 47 remaining roster spots...
and what's worse.. I don't even see him in the top half for his position

One @ $40; 4 @ $15 and team is at $100M for 5 players... and 43 more spots to deal with

I see Mayfield at least as good as Prescott.. do I see him worth $160M.. are you out of your mind

Jerry was obviously better at oil contracts than player contracts.

Last year he offered Dak 5 years with $110 guaranteed. Dak turned it down and got $31 million. Now the contract is 4 years with $126 million guaranteed.

So Dak got 5 years with $157 million guaranteed. Good job, Jerry.

The Cowboys defense leads the league in takeaways and held Justin Herbert to 17 points in a win at Los Angeles. It was the first time since 2018 they won a game when scoring less than 30 points. It's amazing how much easier it is to win when you're not -2 in turnovers and having to score 5 TDs to have a chance.

Jerry's 30-year plan may finally be coming together.

Micah Parsons has been really good. Glad he got out of Happy Valley early.

Then a real team (AZ) came to town and the Cowboys lost. They feel like a one and done team to me in the playoffs, like they've been every playoff berth since their last SB.

They might win the first game at home, but that's it. Frankly, I'll be surprised if they even do that since the opponent will be either Arizona or the Rams.

They're 5-0 in a bad division and 6-5 outside of it - a slightly above average team.
