Same here, although I do hate most kids. I even hated myself as a kid. Never once in my life have I had any kind of paternal instinct kick in which made me want to become a parent. Fortunately I met a woman who felt the same as me and even agreed to marry me.Bucky Katt;2110007; said:I don't hate kids, I just don't want them.
You go on saving for college while I save for my villa in Europe.
My wife and I don't like children either. We've gone on some really nice vacations on the money we've made selling our babies into white slavery.Brewtus;2110166; said:Same here, although I do hate most kids. I even hated myself as a kid. While most of our friends and family utterly enjoy being parents (and I would say that some even define themselves through their children), we have had more than one of our friends confess to us that they wish they didn't have kids. While they say they love their children and would never run from their responsibilities as a parent, if they had to do it all over again they never would have had kids.
So don't take the decision to have children lightly and know that one can still live a very fulfilling life without kids.
And as for who will wipe my old decrepit ass when I'm too old - having children doesn't guaranty a caretaker or companionship in old age. While visiting my grandmother in a nursing home I saw first-hand many people who had children that never came to visit them. That was far more depressing to see than the unavoidable consequences of old age.

I'm sure if she's a miserable crack addict turning tricks in a back alley somewhere, we'll all just say daddy did everything he could.
