BN: "yes but any yankee fan will tell you it was still a good move. thats what they told me about leaving joe nathan in there a few days ago anyway."
Dude, I said this before, and I'll say it again: Gardenhire had two lefties and one righty as possibilities to bring in that game. Of the two lefties, J.C. Romero had an 8.00 ERA in September, and had horrible lifetime numbers against A-Rod. And the other one, Terry Mulholland, should've retired five years ago.
Not to mention the fact that bringing in a lefty to face Jeter, A-Rod, and Sheffield in a late Inning situation is dumb as shit.
And the righty, Jesse Crain, was basically a September call-up.
Both Romero AND Crain were brought into a blow-out the next game and got rocked!!
So genius, we all know that Nathan was tired, but WHERE IS HE GOING IF NOT FOR NATHAN??? Its not like he had Bruce Sutter, Rollie Fingers, or the Great Mariano to go to if not for Nathan.
Please answer that question before I hear anymore of this Gardenhire drivel.
AND KEEP ON CHEERING AGAINST THE EMPIRE, PLAYA-HATERS!! ITS OUR GOOD LUCK CHARM!!
