Cuban and Dirk v.s. Wade

Bob Saccamano

These pretzels are making me thirsty.
Dirk (paraphrasing)- "We gave them [the Heat] the Finals last year..."

Wade- ''At the end of the day, you're remembered for what you did at the end. . . . I think that's the reason -- Dirk says they gave us the championship last year, but he's the reason they lost the championship, because he wasn't the leader that he's supposed to be in the closing moments. That's because of great defense by us, but also he wasn't assertive enough as a leader's supposed to be.''

Cuban- ''I guess you have earned the right to criticize Dirk with an obvious display of your own leadership skills,'' Cuban wrote in his blog.

''I know Shaq appreciates your leadership as well. He called out your team a few weeks ago saying it was "embarassing'. Great leadership DWade. Your coach sat players for being fat. I guess you couldnt lead them away from the buffet.

You are an amazing player Dwayne. I love watching you shoot free throws. What you know about Dirk's leadership skills is non existent. You don't have a clue. Your ability to evaluate leadership skills....well you obviously have an overinflated value of your own. Did you take business classes at Marquette ?''

actually, even when he's not witty, I like him. Probably b/c his criticisms of the NBA are 100% correct. Probably also because I'm a Bengals fan and I can appreciate having an owner who actually does what it takes for his team to win. :smash:

Another reason I like him is because he has the balls to speak his mind while knowing he will get fined for doing so. (See last season.)

He is a billionaire, but nonetheless...

Dirk made a sour grapes statement.

DWade made a personal attack on Dirk.

Cuban proved once again that he's a jackass. (although he's absolutely right about the atrocious officiating and about Shaq's lazy fat ass)

Dirk was definitely the one bitching here. It sounds like he can't admit that the Heat were the better team that year, and Wade basically took over to beat them.

A little disapointed Wade didn't take the high-road, but I can see him being pissed for someone doubting your victory. Mark Cuban, well, he's just Mark Cuban.

Saying Dirk is the reason the Mavs lost the finals is complete bullshit. That team doesn't sniff the playoffs without Dirk. They wouldn't have beaten San Antonio without Dirk making the and 1 at the end of regulation in game 7. The Mavs don't get past the Suns without Dirk dropping 50. Wade criticizing Dirk's leadership is completely out of line. If you really want the truth, David Stern is the reason the Heat won the championship last year.

Last year's finals was one of the most disturbing things I've ever seen. It seemed like a foul was called against Maveric's players if they did as little as breathing on Wade.

I promised myself that I'd never watch the NBA after the finals. And this year I haven't watched one full quarter of any game.

i'm a mavs fan - and you are over-reacting - they lost, the calls might have been bad but good teams overcome that
