Glad to hear... I just booked a weekend to Nassau (and a small private island) on RC in late September (OSU will be at Minny that weekend)... the price was too cheap to pass up (After all discounts it was $155 per person plus port fees... a four day cruise for that price is something I cannot pass up... even if it is a football saturday... I'm assuming I can watch the game in a sports bar in Nassau).

I hope you took my advice and did something fun while in Freeport... not much to look at/do if you head into town...

NCL sails out of your hometown (some of the dates are really cheap as well... as in roughly $350 per person for a week, inside room of course)...

I've already booked my February trip, and have a Dec. of '08 trip booked as well (the Dec. '08 was way too cheap to pass up as well... Celebrity for five days for only $249 per person plus free upgrades compliments of their captains club program )...

Happy hour was the only time I drank aboard and that was pretty affordable.

For entertainment I went to the club on the ship and one afternoon learned the zorba.

The only financial surprise was how cheap all the stuff in the shop on board was.

I love those cruise ship "private islands". Royal Caribbean's Cocoa Cay is a great place to stop.

Surrounded by the gentle, translucent waters of the Bahamas chain lies the secluded island of Coco CaySM. With its white-sand beaches and spectacular surroundings, CocoCaySM is a wonderland of adventure. Reserved exclusively for Royal Caribbean guests, this tropical paradise has recently been updated with new aquatic facilities, nature trails and a ton of great places to just sit back, relax and enjoy a tropical drink.

OK, (to get into the mood) everyone turn up the volume on their computer, click on the link below, and sing!!!

MIDI

Yah Mon, I' down in Bahamas
Yah Mon, I' soakin' some sun
Yah Mon, I' down in Bahamas
Down in Bahamas be an ocean of fun!

Well, the cruise ship she come for a party
With all the pretty girls on the beach
But when you catch one, gonna grab some fun,
Cruise ship come and take her out of reach (so I be singin'...)

Yah Mon, I' down in Bahamas
Yah Mon, I' soakin' some sun
Yah Mon, I' down in Bahamas
Down in Bahamas be an ocean of fun!

We got Great Stirrup Cay on the east side
Nothin' but the sea on the west
But of all the cays in the Berrys these days,
Little Stirrup Cay is the best (that's why I' singin'...)

Yah Mon, I' down in Bahamas
Yah Mon, I' soakin' some sun
Yah Mon, I' down in Bahamas
Down in Bahamas be an ocean of fun!

Sittin' in the shade of a palm tree
Suckin' on some coconut rum
I can sleep away the heat of the day
Till the coolin' evenin' breezes come (then I be singin'...)

Yah Mon, I' down in Bahamas
Yah Mon, I' soakin' some sun
Yah Mon, I' down in Bahamas
Down in Bahamas be an ocean of fun!

Yah Mon, I' down in Bahamas
Yah Mon, I' soakin' some sun
Yah Mon, I' down in Bahamas
Down in Bahamas be an ocean of fun...
Down in Bahamas be an ocean of fun!

Got back from my cruise 3 days ago. Went on Carnival's holiday and ate too much drank to much and oh gambled way too much away. :(:(:( But overall it was fun, Cozumel was great but Costa Maya not so much . The Cruise Director Steve Cassel was a character...

Booking our honeymoon as a Mediterreanean Cruise.

We have 7-10 days off and figure a day of travel to and from Europe.
We both enjoy eating and drinking - so this might be a great trip.

I've budgeted enough for a decent stateroom with a balcony, one excursion in each port, one "fancy" dinner at either the steakhouse and or other restaurant and 80/bucks a day for drinks (assuming $8/drink/person).

I figure spending 6-7 hours a day in some wonderful Euro port cities should help in restricting the drinking damage, but lunch in town with the Euro exchange rate might be a pain.

Still trying to decide if it is more affordable to do a Western Med Cruise (Spain, portugal, French Riviera and Rome) or Eastern Med Cruise (Venice, Croatia, Greek Isles, Turkey).

Both sound incredible and the Greek Isles are supposed to be out of this world.

I did the Western Med last year, with about 20 former OSU cheerleaders. It was awesome!
