Cruise discussion - ex BP's MIA

Dub, I'm in that 'boat' (pun intended). Taking a cruise next month, doing Venice down the Dalmation coast to Croatia. In 2025, doing the big 'un. Wifey and I are starting in Australia, and ending in New Zealand. We usually do three days on either end to immerse ourselves in those places. Oh yeah, forgot to mention. It's a golf cruise, put on by a Scottish company run by an OSU golfer, who played with John Cook and Joey Sindelar and won the Natty in 74. Will play 7 different courses on the tour. Guess we have the time, money, and the wives don't have to lift a finger (preparing meals and thussuch. Hopefully the body won't wear out playing that many courses over a short period of time. Thankfully there are masseuses on board...

My aunt and uncle were cruise hounds as well as some boomer bosses I had when I was younger. They never went on cool cruises like a golf cruise in nice countries rather the kind of shit cruises that port in shit hole countries where you disembark and walk around a protected tourist area. I could never fathom how someone would drop money on something like that.

Generally the only people that say they don't like cruises.. have never been on a cruise
On a cruise, you will find the majority have been on multiple cruises and some in the double digits
The number of international folks you meet, especially on USA originated cruises.. is very interesting..
I have met many Australians on cruises
My biggest disappointment are the pools... disgusting... and the urine smell
My biggest surprise... once you get into international waters... the tops come off
