Cinci...they're taking the late 20s/early 30s girlfriend on the cruise with two of her friends. One or two nights of 3 on 1s and they're dead. Burial at sea saves a fortune on cremation/burial expenses back home. It's a win-win.
I'd go stir crazy on a cruise. When I was a kid we used to fish off of the barge out of Redondo Beach. That was fun and you were back on land in a couple of hours. I saw a few sharks get reeled in.

Well that doesn't sound bad. I though that you were pretty much at sea most of the time. All of what I know about cruises is pretty much from watching The Love Boat. That and seeing pictures of my friends and relatives in tourist traps. I like to walk cities. I've walked most of London, Paris and New York (Manhattan) and eat at local holes in the walls. I'll never forget , one time walked into a bistro in Paris in the Luxembourg Park area and there's this guy sitting at a table smoking a cigarette, reading a paper with a dog laying at his feet. I sat down, some woman took my order (I ordered beef taretar (made me laugh, the bread they served with it looked like Wonder bread) and the guy that was smoking and reading the paper got up and made my order. Another time in NYC I walked into this place in SoHo and they sat me in a corner and no one ever came by to take my order or say hello. I guess they didn't think I fit in. I pent a lot of time alone on my trips with my wife. She's the kind that enters a museum as soon as it opens and they have to kick her out at night. She can spend 15 minutes staring at an old piece of cloth
The scariest town I ever walked/drove through was Birmingham UK. I decided to walk to the Jewellry Quarter from the Bullring not realizing what sketchy neighborhoods existed there. Got lost trying to find my way back too. European towns aren't laid out like towns here and it's very easy to get lost. I tried driving through Birmingham without GPS, found myself in the middle of little Pakistan which wasn't fun either. One summer my wife and I rented a car and hit every mayor stop in England from Brighton to York, There's there really depressing places over there that you'd never think existed. Somerset was my favorite, it was like being in the shire in LOTR. Colombia is hands down the most schizo country I've ever been in, Shit can get real in the blink of the eyes down there.
