yeah, no idea. had the same thing in December but no sore throat and no fatigue. just a cough and sinus stuff. was mad when i got sick again in Feb. it was the sore throat that bothered me. hadn’t had a sore throat in years.
but if you believe that China knew about this in November, I suppose it could have arrived here sooner.
will never know.

Anything other than this beginning the last week or two of Dec is either conjecture, conspiracy theory, or politically/racially motivated.

First of all, get off my dick. And until this bug is squashed, don't bother responding to my posts because trust me, I'm not going to bother with yours. (Sans this)

If I told ANYONE:

"Hey, a new pathogen that has killed some people and fucked some others up has rolled through here, might want to take a few days off until we get the all clear" And they just hit me with a "nah, I'm good". Then yes, you have to harbor some deep seeded issues.

We'll talk in a few months, boo.

So, serious question. When you drive, do you ever talk on the phone (not hands free) or check a message?

That's America at it's finest folks.

Neighbors helping neighbors.

Government will find a way to fuck it up soon enough I'm sure. The need to protect us from ourselves and all.

My wife suggested that we support local business by ordering take out a couple of times a week. I’ll mention this as a way of supporting entrepreneurs.

Will let you know how it goes...

is it possible that i think i may have had this in mid February? sudden extreme fatigue. mild fever. sore throat. dry cough. slept all day on Friday. fever broke. felt better by Sunday. daughter got sick on that Monday (President’s day). same symptoms. wife got it on Tuesday. all were find by that Friday. guess its possible. kinda too late now.

Potentially. I work with someone who was laid the eff out mid-Feb after a trip to Chicago on a flight filled with people she said were clearly sick. She was tested for flu and was confirmed with the a-version of the flu which was pretty mild this year... so it either hit her harder than anyone else on the planet or she had both. She’s still recovering though. Sounds like what you had was more mild than what this is. For the record, she’s hoping that she had it and is through the worst part.

Kind of hard to have tens of thousands of confirmed cases when we’ve had the testing capacity of 10x less until recently, and testing is still far under where it needs to be.
From what I have seen the percentage of positives from the tests that have been administered are 2%. That is right, 2-fing percent. 98% of the people that thought they had the virus and the healthcare worker that also thought they may had it do NOT! They had the Flu or some other virus or common cold.

So the lack of testing is most likely going to also give us an enormous amount of negatives for people who thought they had it and actually do not either.

Drive thru testing starts tomorrow here in toledo, but you have to apply and be screened to be tested. Point being that you just can't drive up because you don't feel good. So the amount of tests given may not be substantial in number for a while.

Show your work then, professor
You're on, Dunce boy. Let's say the first case in the US appears Jan 15th. Lots of people are claiming "exponential growth". So let's go with a relatively low number of 25% increase daily. Now obviously the first day can't be exactly a 25% rate because you can't infect a quarter person, but the 25% is a rate steady throughout the time from Jan 15th until today (Mar 16th when I'm posting this).

The standard formula for exponential growth is: a x (1 + r)[sup]t[/sup]

So starting with one infected individual on Jan 15th and and a 25% daily increase for 60 days, you get 1 x (1.25)[sup]60[/sup] which comes out to 652,530. A daily increase of 20% gives you 56,347 which still meets the "tens of thousands" statement. Capiche?
