On one hand, as a healthcare entity, we're "essential" and staying open. On the other, they're pushing through a bill that expands FMLA to allow people to use sick time - paid - to stay home with their children since schools are closed. Over 60% of our employees are women, most have kids, and they're going to do what the law allows.

I can't blame them personally, but how the hell are we supposed to stay open if half the work force is staying home with their kids?

I know DeWine said they would open daycare centers at hospitals in Ohio to avoid such issues.

Even if they do the Federal law would still allow paid sick time to stay home with kids. I don't know many people who want to send their kid to a day care center right now.

Went to Meijer to get some things a bit ago. No chicken, hamburger, potatoes, or frozen vegetables. The meat counter was totally dark. Fucking crazy I tell you.

At 3 today they shutdown all restaurants and bars/pubs here in Michigan. To Go only. One of my favorite Breweries is reopening To Go only on Thursday afternoon with 25% off growlers.
St Patty's Day is practically Black Friday for bars. Many will not survive.
