mock them for dancing around death? guilty. rebutt away
I'm not repeating myself. As for the rest, you understandably want to be treated like a person. You do not want to be painted as a cartoon when in fact you do wear a mask, keep your distance and try to keep others safe. But that's flanked by the exact kind of rhetoric you don't want applied to you:c
this is what people in this thread want. more death. more fear. but “damn it, i’ll be right about it!!!!”
i wear my mask. have since March 23rd. I wash my hands. I don’t go out. i am doing my part.
but I am not going to let it go unnoticed that their have been three vaccines recently announced and not one fear mongering death watcher has mentioned it.
Do you see the irony, here?

I can't speak for the rest, but I'm not rooting for death. I'm very glad that the guesses in April were wrong.

I wish this would go away overnight.
I wish my business wasn't shutting down for 5.5 months for a second consecutive year. I have very mixed thoughts on the shutdowns.
I wish we weren't set against our friends and family by those who profit and rule based on that infighting.
I wish we could end a 9 month hiatus from hugging anyone that's not my wife.
I wish the world could return.

Perhaps it will with the many promising vaccines. We're still very early in the game even if they work, are safe and can be messaged as such, and all of those have a lot of potential for roadblocks given how little we know, listen and trust right now.

Girlfriend tested last Tuesday and found out Saturday she was positive.

I got tested yesterday. Should have results in a couple more days.

Zero symptons for either of us, but obviously taking precaution. Have had a handful of friends positive and losing taste/smell the last few weeks. But we’re all good so far.

Just relaxing and quarantining more than usual this week - we have whiskey and wine to last a while. It’s an interesting Thanksgiving week, that’s for sure.

This thing is out of control, so stay safe people.

Don't like the losing taste one bit. Hope don't get Covid. Hey SportsFan, you might wanna get some 'two-buck chuck' wine (actually three, and actually not bad), and save the good stuff for when you get over this bug.....just sayin'.
Definitely have a couple Charles Shaw bottles around for the cheap nights. Hoping any and all symptons stay away and I can enjoy the good stuff (including Basil Hayden’s).

I’ll be fine.

I have a close family member in Michigan that fell and broke/tore her foot. Needs rehab and an IV drip, but nothing serious at all. She's been in the ER for 5 days because there's nowhere else to put her. Not in that hospital, or any of the neighboring ones, and certainly no spots in the rehab facilities. They think they have a spot for her later today.

Really high amount of covid cases, and they're running low on beds. They're looking at using the cafeteria in the near future as another space for beds.

But they'll run out of staff before they run out of beds, because they're down hundreds of staff members currently positive with covid.

Tough situation that's not going to get better with intra-state contact this weekend.

A hidden part of the capacity issue, at least at UPenn, is that in the spring they stopped all electives to accommodate the surge. This time, they know they can't afford to do that (financially) so COVID surge is competing with normal business of the hospital.

Might be anecdotal but if Penn is seeing it, so are others I would think.
