It will be interesting to watch this and the 7DMA numbers over time. Considering what's happening right now, there's a lot to be said for looking at these numbers at a state level or at a minimum separated between FACT and the balance of the country because those states are acting differently.
So, I went a copied over data from all 50 states and DC, pasted it into a spreadsheet, and then created tabs sorted by number of cases, number of deaths, and mortality rate (all highest to lowest). What's funny is that the three states that everyone has been shitting all over themselves about (Arizona, Florida, and Texas) all have very low mortality rates compared to other states (Arizona is at #38 with 1.81%, Florida at #40 with 1.74%, and Texas at #46 with 1.29%). In fact, Hawaii, which has been cited as one of the safer states due to extremely low case and death numbers, is actually sandwiched between Arizona and Florida for mortality rate at #39 with 1.77%. I'll try and post screenshots of each tab.

Warning against the death of nuance and listening should be the thing.

Not single issue ballots (on both extremes) to shutdown the opposite camp on a disease we won't understand for 6-12 months.

I only get out of bed for 50 million infected in a few months. Everything else is a lie.

My point was not that anyone has dogshit for a soul. Unless of course someone reads what I said and identifies themselves as not taking comfort from a lower death rate. I strongly suspect that the number of people who do so is zero. I strongly suspect that the guy saying that we shouldn't take comfort from a lower death rate misspoke. Calling people on misspeaking is done in all kinds of ways, including the way I did it (pointing out with hyperbole that even he doesn't believe what he just said). That's not an attempt to shutdown the opposite camp... it's not even choosing a camp. I'm one of the few who blast both presidential candidates for spewing word salad (which they both do a LOT). I'm not shutting down anyone when I do it, even when I use hyperbole to point out to them that not even they believe what they just said.

You were just a launching point, which means I'm not listening well or using nuance either.

Fauci is dealing with an immature overreactor as the primary messenger and beacon of truth for tens of millions. You can't take comfort in a lower death rate if other problems are still showing themselves. Particularly if the hopefully diminishing virus is going to be offset by people behaving as there's no threat whatsoever other than to scared fools.

Or the very large contingent who has vowed to not take a vaccine before said vaccine even exists.

We need transparency, courage, nuance, patience and wisdom. Not trolltastic simpletonianism.

But if the opposing camps keep being more divisive and become more and more polarized, eventually they’ll get so far apart they won’t be able to fight. Why do you hate peace, jwins?

I'm glad that the death rate has been going down.

But I'd feel much better if the US daily death numbers had decreased in the same ratio as they did in most countries in the EU. Because then we'd be in much better shape for re-opening schools and being able to play a full season of college football.

There is only one answer to this Shit Show.
Be "all in" . All of us working together. Wearing masks , washing hands, Social Distancing, all the time.
The only thing that your continually-regurgitated catch-phrases do is prolong the time we reach any sort of herd-immunity. I supposed you wear a mask while in the house, or while sleeping.

You're repeating your leaders failed propaganda. As Dr Fauci has already stated on the subject; there will be no "herd immunity". You're delusional. . You are doing nothing but harm. Hiding behind number charts to vomit the propaganda for the failures of your leader. The emperor has no clothes. He's an abject failure. And the Re-Opening was a mistake. Another failure.
