Coronavirus (COVID-19) is too exciting for adults to discuss (CLOSED)

The "testing and tracking" that the Fed has done is totally inadequate. It's so frustrating that Romney had to ask for "comprehensive Covid transmission data."

U.S. Sen. Mitt Romney, R-Utah, called on federal health officials Tuesday to provide the public with comprehensive, detailed data on how COVID-19 spreads and what areas or activities pose the greatest risk.
Data is easily available at CDC website, or at Worldometers (which has worldwide data updated hurly or so). Romney (R) is a fucking moron.

"That's what compiling and tracking data does. The variables are the same as they were from day one." Mili

Double talk. Mili is confused about what "variable" means.

What does "variable"mean?

an element, feature, or factor that is liable to vary or change.
"there are too many variables involved to make any meaningful predictions"

https://www.google.com/search?q=what+is+a+"variable?&rlz=1C1CHBD_enUS689US706&oq=what+is+a+"variable?&aqs=chrome..69i57.8959j0j8&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8

If your "data" has had "variables" all along than what kind of accuracy can you have?
Any one guy can have a "opinion" like the article above. He's a "epidemiologist" so maybe his "opinion" is better than mine or any "expert" giving us his "opinion" here. That just makes sense. So the "water is muddy". The Fed has abandoned updates almost totally. "muddying the water" even more. So this all is pretty frustrating for people wanting "answers".
And that's why this is the Shit Show it is.
Holy fucking shit. And you wonder why I sometimes "talk down to you". I do database application programming for the DoD for living so I know exactly what a "variable" is, while you had to Google the very meaning of the word because you had no fucking clue what it meant.

Here's an elementary example for you, Einstein. To calculate the circumference of a circle: C = 2πr. Both C (the circumference) and r (the radius) are variables (one will change when the other does) while 2 and π (3.14~) are constants. If r is 12 inches, then C is about 75 1/3 inches. The formula for calculating the circumference never changes...the variables C and r will always be there. Now their values may change, but the variables C and r will always be there.

The same variables that were looked at in the beginning (cases, deaths, hospitalizations, intubations, etc.) are still being looked at.

So now you're using circular logic.

Months of Trial and Error in the ICU Provide Clues to Saving Lives

Better Practiced
Anthony Fauci, director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, also credits better experience with medicines.

“Whenever you’re in an outbreak, there are two things about treatment that contribute to improvement,” he said. “Not only do you get better in practice, but you get better because of new treatments.”

‘How You Do It’
The collective experience may be showing results. U.S. deaths, which often ranged between 2,000 and 3,000 a day in April and May, have mostly remained below 1,000 and in the low hundreds since the beginning of June.

tl;dr
