Does anyone know how to check if Ohio is still under an official state of emergency? I don’t think it’s been lifted, but the government websites are about as useful as a Michigan left guard in the DickRod era. Does the Governor have to release another executive order saying the SOE has ended? Will he just say it at a PC?

I believe it ended May 16th but I am not 100% positive on that.

Seven states just hit record highs for hospitalizations. Overall new cases are spiking again in the US, even as the largest early epicenters (NYC, NJ, Mass, Chicago) have all flattened their curves.

Arizona, Arkansas, California, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas –which also confirmed a record daily case increase on Tuesday – each admitted record numbers of infected people to hospital, the Washington Post reported.

Highest total of new cases in the US since April 24th and the second highest new case total overall. Yesterday, Texas topped the highest daily total that Illinois ever had by 25%, and even more disturbing 5 of the last 7 days have topped Illinois' all time high. Illinois never came within 800 of their record day throughout the pandemic.

Can't wait till it goes from scoffing about panic and inflated numbers back to 'GLAD YOU'RE ROOTING FOR THE DEATH COUNT'. I imagine we'll do this another 2-3 times just this year.

People are going to do what they want, but it was pretty clear there were going to be flare ups and hotspots that would temporarily hamper any sort of re-opening. That takes time and patience though. Now it's out of control again in multiple states.

OMG, record number of Covid 19 cases! :panic:

Over 100,000 Americans died of Hong Kong flu in 1968 - most of them over 65 years old - yet we didn't kill the country in response to it. Somehow, we survived. :roll1:

Flare-ups, spikes, or whatever term you choose, were bound to happen. If you think we can keep the status quo until still magical vaccine is found and distributed to 200-million people, then be prepared to either be locked down for years (good-bye economy) or continue to gradually open things up and deal with flare-ups/spike as they occur.
