Just another day of hand wringing and searching for links to ratchet up his anxiety levels. Just brush it off... his anxiety is going to kill / stroke him out before the virus touches him. But that’s ok, he won’t die with a positive test result so he did his part.

Wash your hands, sneeze into your elbow... wash, rinse, post links, show outrage, repeat it again tomorrow.

One thing is certain. If this is the worst pandemic of our lives, we are in really good shape.

Let's play a fun game. Type any three digit number into Google, followed by 'new cases' without the quotes.
Here's what i got for the number 265:

Kentucky infant with COVID-19 dies. 265 new coronavirus cases and 8 new deaths.

Despite the emotion-bait headline, the article clearly states:

It is not conclusive that the nine-month-old, who was from Hopkins County, died as a direct result of COVID-19, state Public Health Commissioner Dr. Steven Stack said. But since she had the virus when she died, the state’s protocol is to report it as a coronavirus death.
[...]
“In a normal world, without COVID-19, the cause of death probably would’ve been presumed to be SIDS,” or Sudden Infant Death Syndrome, Stack said.

Actually, I'd almost believe he'd be willing to kick the bucket from COVID just to prove his point.

While you're typing in random 3 digit numbers and "new cases" (no quotes) don't type in 998

You're probably wasting your time going through all the numbers. Instead, do a couple... read the dates of the stories that pop up and remember this global pandemic has been a thing since January, so there's a pretty good likelihood that any 3 digit combo of numbers was the daily case count somewhere on the planet during that time.

I'm experiencing Covid fatigue. New cases? I don't care. Fighting about masks? I don't care.

Every day since mid-March has been Covid this, Covid that - the joys of working in health care - and it's going to continue for months. I'll deal with it there, but otherwise, I don't care.
