Oxford Epidemiologist: Here’s Why That Doomsday Model Is Likely Way Off

Basic gist of the article is the virus has been invisibly spreading for at least a month earlier than suspected and that upwards of half of the UK population has been infected already, and that "herd immunity" could start taking effect in the more populated and affected areas. It also states that the model done by Imperial College London which predicted as many as 2.2 million could perish in the US is likely way off.
Heisman had posted a link to that 2 pages ago. I do hope this analysis is closer to reality than that Imperial College model.

@Fungo Squiggly my 'strategy' is to immediately make an estimated tax payment for exact amt I might get.. and forget about it ?

Beats me! I'm waiting for to actually be finalized and passed to know how it's really going to work. Where or not there will be a payback required from someone that qualifies based on 18/19 income but doesn't qualify based on 2020 income is the big question I have at the moment.

“Millions of Americans are filing for benefits, and that means the economy is not just staring down at the abyss, it has fallen off the cliff and down into the depths of recession,” Chris Rupkey, chief financial economist at MUFG Union Bank, said in an email Thursday. “How far it goes is anyone's guess, but certainly close to 10 million people are out of work, and this means the official unemployment rate will match the 10% threshold of pain reached in the 1981-82 and 2007-09 recessions.”

And yet, for the moment, the market is up. Makes you wonder what level of unemployment, the market had previously "priced in".

You'll need to use the code "GIFT" when you're signing up to take advantage of the offer. It'll work for both the limited commercials and ad-free plans on the service.

Re: CBS All Access for free until April 23rd

I don't do "streaming"; hell, I barely know what it is. However, if you do; here is an offer for you.
