Reply No win situation for Wolverine fans....
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Well, this situation has led Wolverine fans down a path that just stinks to high heaven. So who do we root for in the championship game? The Buckeyes? Who have a fan base that hate us and were the only fans outside of SEC states that didn't support their conference rivals for the championship game. With a coach that wouldn't cast his ballot supporting another Big10 team? I don't know about anyone else, but if the Buckeyes win another championship I'll hear about it over and over for a while. 2 championships since 2002...dynasty...In Tressel We Trust. UGGGH.

Why should we want to see Florida win? Knocks off our own conference champ and make anything they argued about getting their legitimate. It would say that maybe the SEC is a superior conference and the big 10 along with the wolverines could be overrated. The mouths of the south would be dialed in for quite a while.

There's no good solution. Either the Sweater Vest or the Campaigning Crybaby win. Either your most hated rival and fans that don't let you forget it or a team that makes your own team and conference look bad wins. This entire situation stinks and no matter what happens, one will always wonder. What would Michigan done in the MNC?

Superman2424 did most the work. :wink2:

I know. Its not fair that I lurk the scout boards. Especially the CFN boards. Outside of about 5 guys, that board is worthless for real football covnersation.

So I just add fuel to the fire every once in a while.

I need to go let mario know his post won a contest for me. :tongue2:

Thanks Mario. This post won a contest for me on BP for "Biggest Whiner Post".

Do I get a trophy with that or is this just a title you so graciously get to hand out. If it is the latter, I have a few in return.

Michigan was put out due to midia attention and suthern state pressures.

Michigan waas #2 for 9 weeks, and lost only to #1 with 3 points at home.

Michigan is gelty, because michigan finished his works 2 weeks ahead of Florida.

This is not respected and Florida is not the number 2 in the nation.

Michigan was pulled out by war of words for no reason. why not let florida play agianst michigan at differnt land than south and then send the best team to Arizona.

I believe Florida is #15 not 2.

Florida will lose the game by 4 TD

Choose between two one loss teams.

1. Michigan losses to OSU which lost to no one.

2. Florida, loses to Auburn, woh loses to Georgia, who lost to Vanderbilt, who lost to Michigan.

Pretty Simple I think

... And Balthazar Getty was in Lost Highway with Patricia Arquette who was in True Romance with Michael Rappaport who was in Beautiful Girls with Matt Dillon who was in Something about Mary with Cameron Diaz who was in Vanilla Sky with Tom Cruise who was in A few Good Men with Kevin Bacon

LOL, I didn't know we decided these things with the Kevin Bacon Game

...And this one is too delicious to leave off:

Blazing7777's said... In an "imperfect" system this is the result. This is just a big manifistation of many underlining problems.

A.The Big Ten needs another team to have a conference game. Had Michigan played another game (yes it would have been a rematch with Ohio State) for the conference wouldn't that have settled at least half of this debate?

B. Florida was 4th, and because of the last statement (no conference title game for Michigan) it moved up with there conference title game.

C. My other BCS problem is now with Boise State and where it plays out for them. They are good enough for a BCS game (which they did get), they won there conference...and they haven't lost a game. Yes that's right UNDEFEATED. Schedule be darn they haven't lost...to anyone, shouldn't we let the 2 teams that haven't lost a game play each other for a title?!?

As much as T.Smith is a Heisman stud Ohio State wouldn't want any part of Boise State and the points they can put up. Oh and it would be exciting, more exciting than watching a make shift Florida QB system or a conservative offense like Michigan.

Crazy talk to suggest a title game between 2 BCS colleges that are UNDEFEATED! ...The right matchup for Florida and Michigan...vs each other as they should be ranked 3rd and 4th in the nation.

D. Heck at this point we could have had this all fixed a long time ago...playoffs for the highest level of College Football...they have it for the rest of the other divisions.

But that's just to simple...and to cheap I guess.

I am a Michigan fan, however I'm more a advocate of getting it right!

World peace, Homelessness, disease...and not having a playoff in College at the highest level, guess we'll never cure these ills.

Bolding added for emphasis of stupidity.

Boise State.... :slappy:

Look, Blazing 7777, they added another BCS game so you mid major cry babies can have a piece of the pie you don't really deserve (based on investment in football over time) take your chunk of money and sit there quietly.

By the way, before you worry about giving Ohio State all they can handle, try and figure out a way to slow down Peterson. He makes Ian Johnson look like Felix the Cat.

Edit: OK, I guess he's a "Michigan fan/ advocate of getting it right" So, If I read him correctly, Boise State is equal to Michigan. Wonder how well that one sits with weasel fans.
